“When are you free?” To answer it, you scan the months ahead, then read one day closely. In Riff both happen on the same page. You zoom instead of switching views. Plan the trip over whole months. Zoom in to two weeks and pick the day. Every stop on the way is a working calendar. A double-tap on the day dives into its evening for a dinner. The day you were looking at stays on screen. Slide the calendar and the weeks glide past. For a long weekend, zoom to just its three days.
Create events directly on the calendar
Hold an empty slot and an event appears. The same finger drags down to set the length. Type the title and you’re done. An event you’ve had before comes back after a few letters, details and all. Place, reminder and repeat appear only when you ask.
See every change as you make it
Select an event and its details appear as dials, wired straight to the calendar. Dialing the start time slides the event to the new hour. A weekly repeat fills the weeks ahead the moment you apply.
Your calendars, not copies of them
Work Personal Family
Riff works directly on the calendars already on your iPhone: iCloud, Google, Exchange, whatever Apple Calendar sees. There is no Riff account and nothing to import. Events you create or move in Riff show up everywhere else. Delete the app and your data hasn’t gone anywhere.
Data collected: none
Riff has no server, no account and no analytics. Your events pass between Apple’s calendar database and your screen. Riff adds no stop of its own. Not collecting data isn’t a policy. There is nowhere for it to go.
What it isn’t (yet)
- Finished. It’s a beta: things will be rough in places, and the point of TestFlight is finding them.
- Everywhere. It’s iPhone-only and needs iOS 26: no iPad, no watch, no Android.
- A scheduling suite. It can answer invitations, but it can’t send them.
